Oh Wow! The Obama Administration Now Wants Lower Fuel Prices In Time for the Election

Why is everyone so surprised that the Obama administration doesn’t want to lower oil and gas prices? Obama and Chu have been saying it since 2008.

Only now, suddenly, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu-faced has had a change of heart in less than two weeks. He no longer wants the gas prices to go up and Obama is suddenly saying the same thing. Their history tells us a different story so which are you going to believe?

In a shocking round of questioning this afternoon, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he no longer wants gas prices to rise to historic levels, as he has previously and repeatedly promoted. At a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing, Senator Mike Lee (R-Ut.) asked secretary Chu: “So are you saying you no longer share the view that we need to figure out how to boost gasoline prices in America?” Chu responded: “I no longer share that view.”

It’s a good thing that Chu changed his mind in a little over a week’s time because I heard the administration was looking to make him Ambassador to NE Afghanistan after his recent admission that the administration goal was NOT to lower gas prices.

The overall goal is not to get prices of gas down but rather it is to reduce our dependency on oil with pond scum (okay, pond scum, bird killing windmills, and Solyndra-like investments) -
